"Removes excess oil without drying" - Dermatologist certified - Soap and Fragrance free |
I have heard great things about the brand Sukin. They are an Australian natural skincare brand that goes by the motto "Skincare that doesn't cost the earth". That being said the products offered by Sukin are both Paraben and Sulphate free. The prices for Sukin products are affordable considering that their products are made from natural ingredients.
There are three different types of DermaSukin washes that are available and they are:
- Oil balancing wash (250ml, 500ml)
- Daily hydrating wash (250ml, 500ml)
- Daily gentle wash (250ml, 500ml, 1000ml)
What is DermaSukin?
"DermaSukin is an everyday Dermatologist Certified range of skincare formulated to be naturally gentle on sensitive, dry, itchy or problem skin."
I personally have extremely oily skin so anything that claims to reduce oil will immediately attract my attention. I wasn't sure if the DermaSukin oil balancing wash was a body wash and/or a facial wash. Considering the size difference from the cleansing gel I assumed it was a body wash but it doesn't state anywhere on the packaging or their website.
I used this product in the areas that I get oily or sweaty often and that would be my face, neck, chest and back area. I have been using this product for the past 2 weeks. The first time I used the oil balancing wash my skin ended up being really oily (more than usual) within an hour of washing my face. I blotted with oil blotting sheets on my t-zone and within a couple of hours I was oily again.
The product itself is clear and I don't notice much of a scent. Once you rub the product into the skin it turns white and foams slightly. I would imagine this working well with the Clarisonic or any other similar devices. After washing the product off my face it felt very soft and clean. My skin did not feel tight like it sometimes does when I use other face/body washes.
Rating: ★★★☆☆
Would I repurchase? I'm not sure right now. Maybe the benefits of this product will come in after a few more uses but as for now i'm not overly impressed with this product. I have the 500ml bottle which is going to take me a while to finish anyways.
Btw, look out for my review on the Sukin Cleansing gel for sensitive skin within the next two weeks! :)
