DIY 1: Daisies in a jar.

Hello to the person reading this. So I love making little DIY things to help spice up my room. As an unemployed university student I have a tight budget. So about a few hours ago I finally received my fake daisies in the mail. I originally wanted to make a few daisy headbands but they took forever to arrive and well uni is about to start and I wanted to organise my closet today ready for a new semester.

I ordered 50 daisies from eBay for $1.04. The item was on bid. It was actually kind of hard to find fake daisies on eBay. The tea lights are also from eBay... two for $1.99. They have a wide variety of different lights. I chose the yellow one because it looks more realistic but they also have one with white light as well as one which can change into 7 different colours.

Btw, not sure if I would call this a DIY... There's really not much that you have to do. After looking at the picture it's pretty self explanatory. So i'm not going to tell you step by step on how to do it. Just incase anyone was wondering I got my mason jar from Hot Dollar at Merrylands to be specific. It was around $2-3. The jar didn't come with the lace... I just glued a piece on with a glue stick. I think that the lace makes a huge difference. If you don't have lace ribbon is a good substitute.

So let's get onto what you will need for this DIY:
- Mason jar (Hot Dollar)
- fake daisies (eBay)
- ribbon//lace whichever you prefer (Discount store)
- LED tea light (eBay)
- glue

Okay, here's how the daisies look like. They actually have little fluffy particles in the centre which makes them look even more real!

This is how it looks like with the daisies in the jar.

This is how it looks like during the day with the tea light inside.

It would look something like this during the night. The tea light flickers which makes it look like a real candle.

IHerb.com review

I decided to purchase a few items from iHerb.com again and just incase you don't know what that is it's pretty much a website that sell items that range from beauty to organic foods. If you want you can check out their website to find out more information on their company. I have made 2-3 orders from them in the past and I can honestly say I have been satisfied with my items every time. I have had no issues with the company. I made my most recent order on the 26th of June and it arrived on the 8th of July. The delivery time was estimated to be 13 days so it came a couple of days earlier. I think that's a reasonable delivery time considering that they are based in the U.S and I'm from Australia. Let's talk about the shipping costs... On average if your total order is under 4 lbs. which is roughly 2kgs it costs $4 USD which is pretty cheap. (This is to Australia by the way and the option of no tracking code). I have a special coupon code for first time buyers. If you use the code JJM595 at the checkout on orders of $40 or more you can receive a $10 discount and FREE SHIPPING, while smaller orders receive $5 off plus FREE SHIPPING.

The brands that interested me the most were Real techniques, E.L.F cosmetics, Eco-tools, Physicians formula and Burt's bee. Below are pictures on the previous two orders that I made.

The order above contains the items from my most recent purchase before I took them out of the box.
Okay, now here's a full shot of all the items that I purchased.

If you would like me to do a review on any of the items... just leave a comment below. Overall, I would recommend buying from iHerb.com. The prices for their products are reasonable and it allows people like me to have access to products I can't get a hold of in Australia. If you do decide to buy from iHerb don't forget to use the coupon code JJM595! :)
